We welcome people to pop in and discuss what their thoughts are regarding a funeral for a loved one or for themselves. We encourage informal, open and frank discussion about what happens and what you would like help with.
Many people are keen to have a record of their wishes for their funeral held by us that will be useful for their family at the time of their death. This can be as simple as ensuring we know who the right person to liaise with is, or as detailed as where the service will be, who will take it, what hymns and readings are important, where ashes will be interred, a draft newspaper notice and so on. For some people knowing that their family won’t be burdened with having to make lots of decisions at a difficult time gives them peace of mind. For others, knowing that everyone will know exactly what they want for their farewell again relieves them of worry.
We keep a record of what we have discussed with people. If the funeral director that had the discussion is not available when the person dies, it means all the rest of team will know exactly what is expected.
